Mary Vasile, pianist, composer & entertainer began performing at an early age.
She attended the Juilliard School on scholarship in piano performance, and, along with raising a family, later graduated from the University of Maryland.
Relocating to San Diego North County in 2003, Mary performs special engagements at the upscale Belle Fleurs restaurant in La Costa and at the five star Arterra Lounge/Restaurant in Del Mar. For the year 2005 she graced audiences at The Quail restaurant, on Lake San Marcos on Saturday evenings and for Sunday brunch and continues for special events.
While being part of Nashville’s rich music community she performed in the known historic venues as soloist and with her combo along with steady engagements at Vanderbilt’s University Club and Nashville City Club. When President George W. Bush campaigned in Nashville, Mary was the featured artist and was subsequently invited to perform for two notable Presidential Inaugural events in Washington, D. C.
Credited as a Bösendorfer Artist, she has enjoyed a full, rich international career. In our nation’s capital she performed at the National Democratic Club and with equal time at the Republican Capitol Hill Club. Long term engagements in three elegant Washington, D. C. hotels were a prelude to opening and remaining for five years at the Palm Beach Ritz Carlton Hotel. She became “Pianist in Residence” at Donald Trump’s exclusive Club Mar-a-Lago where she performed for two years along with such celebrities as Tony Bennett, Beverly Sills, and Alan King.
Mary’s recording projects are “Heavenly Moments”, a collection of popular favorites, and “Moonwalk & Mother Earth”, a presentation of her original works along with its title piece dedicated to her friend, astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the historic Apollo XIV mission to the moon. Her albums were featured at the National Museum for Women in the Arts gift store and are available on the products page.
